It's that time of year again when Manchester United and Man City turn their attentions towards the FA Cup.

The third round of this season's competition has thrown up a whole host of shocks as a number of Premier League teams have been dumped out by lower league opposition.

United are yet to actually compete in this season's competition and will face a tough third round test against Aston Villa on Monday evening.

The draw was a bit kinder to City, though, with the Blues thrashing League Two side Swindon Town 4-1 on Friday evening to book their place in Sunday afternoon's fourth round draw

Both Manchester clubs will be aiming to have better runs in the competition than last season after United were knocked out in the quarter-finals by eventual winners Leicester City, while the Blues were defeated in the semi-finals 1-0 by Chelsea.

United have won the FA Cup 12 times, while City have won it on six occasions.
